Since it was first announced in March, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the collaboration between Lorde and MAC Cosmetics. The two-piece collection features a deep-plum lipstick named after her album Pure Heroine, which can be used as a lipstick or a stain, and a black eyeliner called Rapidblack. Finally, they’re available for purchase.

While the “Royals” singer might seem an unusual choice to be the latest face for a makeup conglomerate—she’s gone on record about unrealistic expectations regarding beauty ideals placed on pop stars and the use of Photoshop—she has a definite point of view regarding her own personal style. She does not take collaborations lightly.
She’s been quoted as saying, “I’m notoriously difficult in terms of, if I think a brand is corny, it’s very hard to change that. I used to buy MAC in New Zealand when I could afford it.”
