We forgive you if you’re having trouble keeping up with all of Pharrell’s fashion and design collaborations. It seems like there’s a new one every week: Comme des Garçons perfume, a Kartell table lamp, compost jeans made by G-Star Raw—for the sake of time, we’re gonna stop here. But Pharrell’s latest collab makes more sense than any of his others. The singer/producer/current Adidas collaborator teamed up with upscale Paris retailer Colette on 10 custom pairs of Stan Smiths personally painted by Pharrell for a good cause: proceeds go toward his charity From One Hand to Another, which provides educational tools to underserved kids.

Aesthetically, this collaboration could have gone in two very different directions. This year, Pharrell has been spotted in yin and yang custom takes on the Stan Smith: a sparkling pair encrusted with Swarovski crystals and, for daytime, a crafty pair covered in doodles.

Pharrell went with the DIY approach for this collaboration, recreating some of his best childlike sketches. There’s the equal signs and flowers he’s worn before. There’s also some more abstract dots that recall his finger-painted Coachella shorts. Phrases like “space,” look up,” “I need u,” and “smile” are written across them which is exactly what you’d hope for coming from the singer behind “Happy.” Literally no one would think you weren’t blissed-out if you walked around wearing these.

OK, here’s the bad news: all 10 pairs sold this morning. But the good news: It won’t be long until we’ll be able to get our hands on a pair of Pharrell-designed Adidas. According to Colette's Instagram, another Pharrell x Adidas collab is dropping another collaboration in early August. Let the countdown begin.
