While we’ve become accustomed to seeing Miley Cyrus in leotards and sequins, we love to see her sophisticated side step forward every so often. Remember the gorgeous vintage Jean Paul Gaultier dress she wore the the Bambi Awards last year? That’s what we’re talking about. Welp, we got our wish (again)! At the 2014 World Music Awards last night, our girl covered up and glammed out in two different gowns—and she looked better than ever.

Miley wore a strapless Giambattista Valli dress to perform her hit “Wrecking Ball.” She looked SO ethereal and ladylike in the floral-print frock, we can hardly even remember the song’s completely nude music video (JK, #neverforget).

She then did a quick costume swap to accept her Best Female Act award, changing into a long-sleeved KaufmanFranco dress. The look was even more covered up than her first—but it was also slightly edgier, thanks to the sparkling fabric and form-fitting silhouette.

We will continue to swoon over BOTH of these dresses for the rest of the day. Don’t get us wrong, we love spandex and gingham as much as the next girl. But even leotards need a day off every once in a while.
