Jennifer Lawrence Doesn’t Wear Dior And Debuts New Hair At ‘X-Men’ Premiere

Back in November, Jennifer Lawrence was on a lot of red carpets. We got so used to seeing her every night in Dior and showcasing her new short ’do during The Hunger Games: Catching Fire promo tour that we practically forgot there was a time that she wore other designers and could put her hair in an updo. We were reminded over the weekend, however, when she wore a Jason Wu dress to the X-Men: Days of Future Past premiere and debuted her new bob.

Jennifer broke her Dior streak with a shimmery blue dress from Jason Wu’s Fall 2014 collection. She kept the rest of her look simple, wearing no necklaces or bracelets, just a ring and earrings. If you’re going to temporarily ditch the company you’re the face of, this is the way to do it, right? This dress would be hard to pass up, TBH. Plus, it’s vaguely reminiscent of Mystique, the character she plays in X-Men. If this is a subtle homage we see it and we like it, Jenn. Even bigger news than her fashion? Her new hair!

The last time we saw Jennifer on a red carpet, her hair was grown out from the earlier pixie, but it was still pretty short. It has since grown even more–as hair is wont to do–and is now a chin-length bob. It’s even long enough to pin up! Jennifer wore her hair deeply side-parted, with half down and half pinned back. While Jennifer somehow managed to make her pixie look totally different every time we saw it during the winter, we’re excited that it’s longer now–it opens up a world of hair possibilities that we’re eager to see.
