Nadia Aboulhosn, Tess Munster, and GabiFresh.
If you're unfamiliar with GabiFresh, here's a quick rundown: On top of being our very first MTV TJ, Gabi is a style blogger with a focus on fashion for "younger, trendier women sizes 14 and up." She shares the outfits she wears, where to buy the pieces, as well as general style advice. Yesterday, she posted a video that caught our eye—not simply because it features a Beyonce song, but because of its positive message.
Gabi recruited Nadia Aboulhosn and Tess Munster—fellow bloggers and models—to create #everyBODYisflawless, a new video for Beyonce's "Flawless." The video, Gabi explains in her post, is to let everyone know these ladies are supportive of one another and that you don't have to be a certain size to claim flawlessness.
The video comes at an especially meaningful time in a Beyonce-centric world. Two weeks ago, Beyonce released her "Pretty Hurts" video and, subsequently, the #WhatIsPretty campaign, which asks fans to upload images and quotations that define what beauty means to them. Beauty, obviously, means something different to every person in the world, but the fact that Beyonce, Gabi, Nadia, and Tess are making people talk about it and are opening their minds/beliefs/understandings to the variety out there is very cool. Bow down.
