The Best Dressed Couples At The 2014 Met Gala

While at the Met Galas of the past attendees tended to bring designers as their dates, this year a number of IRL couples hit the carpet together. Between Beyonce and Jay Z pretending to get engaged to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian serving some real old school glamour vibes, this year's Met Gala was full of stylish couples who deserve our attention. Let's give it to them!

Beyonce and Jay Z matched in Givenchy–she in a plunging sheer gown, he in a black-and-white tux. Bey accessorized with a sheer veil and dark lipstick, while Jay accessorized with a sparkly ring. JK, he merely picked it up for Bey when she dropped it. What a gentleman.

Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Met Gala 2014

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds could exist in 2014 or, like, 1918–they've got the retro glam aesthetic down pat. Blake wore a custom Gucci Première embroidered gown. Being the face of a fashion house's fragrance has its perks, I guess. I'm available for any fragrances that need a new face, FYI.

Chanel Iman, A$AP Rocky, Met Gala 2014

Real talk: Chanel Iman and A$AP Rocky are one of our fave couples of all time. Chanel wore a silver satin Topshop gown while Rocky wore a tux without a bow tie (also Topshop). His silver grill matched Chanel's dress–that requires some serious planning.

Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, Met Gala 2014

Johnny Depp was perhaps the most dapper man of the entire evening, using a cane as an accessory. Amber Heard didn't look to shabby herself (JK, she looked great!), in an embroidered Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. The gold of Amber's dress complemented the various chains Johnny had hanging from his waist, resulting in quite the matchy duo.

Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, Met Gala 2014

While most couples opted for old Hollywood glamour looks, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield went totally modern. Emma looked ah-may-zing in a two-tone pink Thakoon dress while Andrew wore neither a black nor white jacket, but a mixture of the two–heather gray. They look so good I almost forgot about the kissing sketch from last weekend's Saturday Night Live. Almost.

Gisele Bundchen, Tomy Brady, Met Gala 2014

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady looked soooo elegant in their matching black outfits. Tom wore a pretty standard tux while Gisele wore a plunging gown with lace overlay. I bet they look this good standing around their kitchen. Some things in life just aren't fair.

Victoria Beckham, David Beckham, Met Gala 2014

Speaking of couples that look good at all times–hello, Posh and Becks. While Gisele and Tom went for mostly black, Victoria and David Beckham opted for mostly white, with David matching his jacket to Victoria's simple and self-designed gown.

And finally, you didn't think we'd forget about the #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple, did you? While Kanye's look this year is fairly similar to the one he wore last year, Kim's is vastly different. Last year, if you recall, Kim was pregnant and wore a floral Givenchy gown, complete with sleeves that turned into gloves. There was no skin to be seen. This year, however, Kim opted for a strapless, high-slit Lanvin gown. These two are talked about for a reason, y'all–'cause they look so good.
