MTV Stars Bring A-Game Fashion To The 2014 Movie Awards

It’s one thing for an individual star to look good for award show appearances. They just have to go shopping, match their outfit to their manicure, and they’re pretty much good to go. But for a TV show’s entire cast to look good? Now THAT is a rare occurrence that takes major styling talent and coordination. We were lucky enough to witness such red carpet wonderment on several occasions at last night’s MTV Movie Awards. The cast members of our very own MTV shows managed to look great alone AND as groups, and we humbly offer up our admiration. Check out some of the most fashionable lineups, below:

We’ve come to expect only the best fashion when it comes to our Teen Wolf stars. Don’t worry—they all delivered last night. Tyler Posey, one of MTV’s pre-show hosts, looked appropriately casual in jeans and a fitted jacket. Dylan O’Brien went with jeans and a jacket as well, only his black and dark gray color palette gave off a much more ~bad boy~ vibe.

The lady cast members were slightly fancier. Holland Roden wore a nude-colored Ferragamo dress with dual belts and a half-pleated skirt. She enhanced the frock’s neutral shade with bright-pink nails, lips, and Brian Atwood shoes.

Arden Cho stunned in a Blesse’d Are The Meek dress, complete with halter neckline and linear mesh details. (Psst, check out how Arden’s Lauren Merkin clutch matches Holland’s shoes. We see your subtle coordination.)

The beautiful stars of Awkward looked anything BUT awkward in their respective red carpet getups. Jillian Rose Reed made us feel patriotic in the best way possible in her red, white, and blue Angelys Balek dress. Her look was saved from being TOO Americana thanks to her black Betsey Johnson pumps and edgy spiked earrings. Nikki DeLoach worked the step-and-repeat in an ankle-length, tomato-red Novis dress. The fitted tank top and flared skirt managed to look both comfy and elegant—very appropriate for the feel of the night’s festivities.

Molly Tarlov looked classy and sassy in a floral Valentino dress. The pretty fabric was detailed without being distracting, and her sky-blue clutch and pumps were great additions to the whole outdoorsy theme of her look. Molly’s flowers paired with Jillian and Nikki’s bright colors totally got us in the mood for spring. Spring clothes shopping, mainly.

Oh, hey, Katie Stevens. I see you being daring and glamorous with those sneaky cutouts. The Faking It star nailed it in this black Peggy Hartanto dress—classic in every way except for those mesh details. The torso featured a unique, wishbone-shaped cutout, and the skirt boasted the same see-through effect a few inches up from the hem. As a result, Katie showed flashes of skin while looking 100% appropriate and put together.

Rita Volk, Katie’s Faking It co-star, went with a similar monochromatic color palette for her red carpet showing (again, #coordination). She wasn’t quite as ~risqué~ as Katie was with her mesh teasing, but she still killed it in a white Alice + Olivia dress with black outlining and asymmetrical hemline. Also, those black-and-white Aldo heels are amazing.

So, where exactly are the colors in the Faking It cast’s wardrobe? See: Michael Willett’s outfit. He looked super sharp in this royal-blue Klein Epstein Parker suit and sparkling Louis Leeman shoes. It’s not an easy look to pull off, for sure, but Michael somehow made it seem easy and natural.

Snooki and Jwoww at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.

All hail the night’s resident Jersey Shore royalty—Snooki and Jwoww! The reality stars showed up to the Movie Awards looking totally gorgeous and glamorous, and they even sported duo baby bumps (THAT’s a level of red-carpet coordination—albeit prooobably unintentional—I cannot even fully fathom). Snooki co-designed her own dress and looked like a petite rose garden, while JWOWW stunned in a gown that would put most mini dresses in da clubs to shame. The plunging neckline, daring slit, and jeweled hems are most likely not found in your friendly neighborhood maternity boutique.
