Did I Just Watch Conan O'Brien Style His Hair With Grout Caulk?

It's no secret that Conan O'Brien's hair has become a kind of signature for the comedian. Red, voluminous, and always perfectly quiffed. What remains a secret, though, is how exactly he (and his ~glam squad~) get it looking so good for every single show and public appearance. Well, thanks to this exclusive, never-before-seen clip from Coco's dressing room, we're...not much closer to figuring that out.

In a bit that didn't air during the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, Conan spoofs the opening sequence of American Hustle, in which Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale) wrestles with his extremely high-maintenance combover. It doesn't stave off my want need to see the real magic behind Coco's coiffure, but it is pretty funny.

Where Irving's method implements a meticulous process of teasing, ratting, spraying, and what looks like a pot of rubber cement (relax, it's hair bonding glue), Conan's (fake) process is even more elaborate. For one, he employs several layers of adhesives: Elmer's glue, grout caulk, and packing tape. Also, there are power tools and a microwave involved. Double also, do not try this at home. But do watch it for yourself in the exclusive clip below!
