Since she came onto the scene two years ago, Angel Haze has been one of fashion’s favorite rappers. She’s had the high honors of posing for Karl Lagerfeld, playing for Donatella Versace, and, more recently, walking the runway for DKNY. So it makes total sense that, for her new “A Tribe Called Red” video for i-D, Angel went full-on high fashion, wearing looks straight off the spring runway.

Saint Laurent provides Angel Haze’s first look in the video: a leather suit, which she styles with a BLK DNM mesh tank, a Versace Medusa medallion, and boots from Dr. Martens. While leather-on-leather can be a lot of look, and a stiff one at that, Haze keeps it fresh by unbuttoning her blazer and rolling up her sleeves.

One thing we’ve learned from this video is that Angel Haze really likes mesh. Here she is again in the open-knit, this time wearing a netted sweater from Raf Simons’ Dior with a cool badge on the arm. In the Spring 2014 Dior show, Raf paired the sweater with, uh, nothing underneath and a hyper-femme, pleated, pastel-blue skirt, but Angel adds her signature edge to it with a pair of boxers peeking out of her patent Tripp skinny jeans and Underground creepers. Angel also decided against going topless, unlike the Dior model, instead opting for a T by Alexander Wang shell.

For her third look, Angel wears bleached pieces. She paired her Nike hoodie with a pair of custom bleached Levi’s. Note to everyone else: This is how you add visual intrigue to a video shot in black and white.
