Pink’s 2014 Academy Awards Performance Was A Total #covermoment

Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore. We’re in LA, baby–it’s warm(ish) and there are celebrities everywhere! Pink took the stage at the 2014 Academy Awards to perform “Somewhere Over The Rainbow,” as a tribute to the 75th anniversary of The Wizard Of Oz. She had a total #covermoment in a red sequined Elie Saab gown (one that we once superimposed onto Harry Styles’ body, BTW), which served up a modern take on Dorothy’s iconic red slippers. Slightly more glamorous than a blue gingham apron, IMHO.

Pink seemed to cherish her time in the gown, opting not get swept up in, like, a tornado and using the opportunity to show off her aerial acrobatic skills. Her platinum ’do was, as usual, perfectly coiffed. She kept her beauty game rather low-key, with flawless skin, a nude lip, and expertly lined eyes. Her makeup, which was quintessentially Pink provided the perfect complement to the super-feminine gown, which is a look she doesn’t often vibe with. Perfect combo.
