We're not even a full hour into Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's Golden Globes and Jennifer Lawrence has already clinched an award. Not only that, she (with the aid of her *achem* unique Dior gown) is already MEME-ing.

J.Law hit the Globes red carpet in an immaculate white strapless gown with two skinny black belts at her natural waist and an area around her thighs that we're going to speculate is right below her rump. It's definitely a picky look—one you likely either love or hate—and it's not a silhouette you see every day. That is, unless you watch Disney's The Little Mermaid every day.

From the moment she set foot on the step-and-repeat, Twitter was abuzz, comparing Jennifer's gown to that makeshift dress Scuttle (the seagull, duh) constructs out of a discarded ship sail and rope after Ariel is washed onto shore with her brand new legs. TBH, that maaaaay have been our knee-jerk reaction, too. But we wanna know what YOU think!

Did Jennifer Lawrence look to The Little Mermaid for her Golden Globes red carpet inspiration?
