Readers' Poll: Best Dressed Male Artist Of 2013

When a guy can carve a niche for himself as a paragon of style, it's a truly impressive feat. I mean, HULLO, dudes do not have the same range of options as ladies do. It's a lot harder to keep your look fresh and fashion-forward without peplum skirts and crop tops and a variety of heels. But there is an elite tier of dudes who have done exactly that in 2013.

We pay attention to the stories you're reading, tweeting, and posting on Facebook. Based on all that, we've put together a list of your 10 favorite stylish studs from the past 365 days. Now we need your help to crown the winner. One Direction won as a group last year, but only Harry and Zayn are nominated this time around. Will one of them come out on top, or will they split the 1D vote, leaving room for a new champion? It's up to you, so be sure to vote for your fave dude below. And act quickly because the poll closes after Wednesday, December 18th!

Harry Styles' 2013 looks.

Harry Styles is a fashion icon. But you don’t have to take our word for it—all of Europe says so. (Pretty much.) The youngest member of One Direction beat out ~actual~ models for the title of British Style Icon at this year’s British Fashion Awards AND took home the award for Best Look at the MTV EMA. The dude wears quirky, printed button-ups and black skinny jeans like nobody’s business, and somehow manages to make bed head appropriate for every situation.

No Best Dressed Dudes list would be complete without A$AP Rocky. Between always securing his seat in the front row, releasing a sneaker with Jeremy Scott and Adidas, and shooting a forthcoming campaign with DKNY, the Harlem MC has become notorious for his fashion killa status over the past year.

Justin Timberlake's 2013 looks.

In January, Justin Timberlake returned to music after an almost seven-year absence. The release of his third solo album, The 20/20 Experience, ushered in a new era of style for the former boy-bander: refined, tailored, and mostly monochromatic. Of course, this also included a slew of seriously on point suits and ties, not to mention a 600-piece tour wardrobe custom-made by Tom Ford.

Drake's 2013 looks.

Drake could pair his pearly whites with a crop-top turtleneck and we’d be too blinded by his smile to notice a thing. Thankfully, when he's not getting suited up by Calvin Klein on stage, Drizzy (who just announced he’ll be collaborating with Jordan Brand) opts for casual streetwear from brands like En Noir, Hood by Air, and a ton of gear from his own OVO label, like the sick Jaden Smith pray-face T-shirt he wore to perform at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Zayn Malik's 2013 looks.

Sure, Harry's already won fashion icon awards this year, but don't sleep on Zayn Malik, y'all. (Unless you're Perrie Edwards, his Little Mix fiancé, in which case we'd like to take this moment to formally express our extreme jealousy, but also wish you a happy marriage.) Truth be told, you really shouldn't discount the other three members of One Direction either, but then they'd take up half the list! Where Harry racks up points by turning out crisp, preppy tailoring with a bit of a rock twist, Zayn is 100% brooding badass. The black leather motorcycle jacket is his hallmark, but he's not afraid to mix it up with an accent sleeve or to experiment with a leather vest and collarless longline blazer situation. Very fashion-forward. He's the style dark horse. Pay attention.

2 Chainz's 2013 looks.

Obviously, OBVIOUSLY, 2 Chainz had to be on this list. Do you know of any other dude who can jump so effortlessly between hooded KTZ in the street, matchy-matchy Katie Eary on stage, and Versace couture-Dracula vibes at the Grammys? [*crickets*] Didn't think so.

Pharrell Williams' 2013 looks.

Pharrell Williams is the ultimate modern-day Renaissance man, but it’s his fearless fashion risks that we can’t stop talking about. As a designer for Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream, Skateboard P likes his hip-hop/skater-dude/luxe designer look to be loud: bold prints, embellishments, and crazy-bright colors.

Justin Bieber's 2013 looks.

For Justin Bieber, 2013 was the year of the drop-crotch pant (and ABS). He went next-level with his affinity for luxury kicks by teaming up with Adidas NEO and took his style game from swaggy to suave with the addition of leather (on leather on leather), edgy details, and the occasional Kanye-esque kilt.

Siva Kaneswaran's 2013 looks.

Siva Kaneswaran was inducing swoons WAY before he joined The Wanted. The tall, dark, and handsome Irish lad first started modeling at the age of 15 and recently signed with Next Models, where he's been snapped #WERQING his chiseled jaw in loads of Givenchy. Offstage, Siva rocks a not-so-basic style with tightly fitted graphic tees, jeans, and tennis shoes, but he’s also proved that he knows his way around a double-breasted suit on the red carpet, too.

Kanye West's 2013 looks.

Finally, DUH. His entire Yeezus tour wardrobe (which included bejeweled masks) was custom-made by Maison Martin Margiela. And Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington trekked out to Brooklyn to watch his show. He created some controversial merch and sold it at PacSun AND his own traveling pop-up shop. He left Nike and inked a brand new partnership deal with Adidas. And let's not forget, he revealed that he brought the leather jogging pant to Fendi six years ago. If Kanye West hasn't had a banner fashion year, IDK who has.
