Miley Cyrus Goes From White Hot To Kitty Kitsch At The 2013 AMAs

Oh hey, Miley’s eyebrows. Welcome back. We thought we’d lost you there for a minute. PHEW. The return of Miley Cyrus’ dark brows was the first thing that caught our eye when she took the stage to perform “Wrecking Ball” at tonight’s American Music Awards. The SECOND thing we noticed, though, was that her outfit matched her HIGH-larious screen visual from head to ACTUAL toe. (Also, if matching is “happening,” BRB I need to go change my socks.)

While performing in front of an adorable kitten mouthing the lyrics to her song, Cyrus wore platform shoes and a high-cut two-piece that were both plastered with cat heads. She accessorized the periwinkle blue Markus Lupfer getup with some giant bangles and earrings that kind of resemble those clear ring things that hold up shower curtains. But like, WAY bigger. She could probably hoist a shower curtain made of chain link metal with the earrings alone, TBH.

On the red carpet, Miley wore white pants and went #shirtless under a coordinating Versus Versace blazer with safety pin details, and we were instantly overcome by the feeling of déjà vu. At first, we thought she was directly repeating her jaw-dropping look from the 2010 Billboard Music Awards but quickly remembered that outfit was shirtless AND pantless. Then, it dawned on us that her 2013 AMAs step-and-repeat steez also looked a LOT like the suit she wore on her March cover of Cosmopolitan but with way more minimal makeup. We still think it looks a LOT like that suit, but those punky safety pins on the side definitely give it a fresh edge.

Which one of Miley’s American Music Awards looks did you like the best?
