Happy 27th birthday, Drake! Here, we got you this bespoke Calvin Klein wardrobe for your “Would You Like A Tour” tour. Generous, we know. You’re welcome! JK JK LOL, we WISH that had been our idea. We considered making you bespoke cupcakes in your likeness, but quickly realized that our baking skills are lacking. Your face is hard to draw with frosting! It’s the thought that counts though, right? Lucky for Drake, he is actually getting custom stage outfits by CK (just not from us).

Calvin Klein’s men’s creative director, Italo Zucchelli, just released a few sketches of the stage outfits he’s designed for the rapper’s in-progress, 39-city North American tour. “I love Drake,” he told WWD. “He is very talented and I like his effortless attitude in terms of his style and music.” The feeling is clearly mutual. Drake showed support by attending a post-show party for Calvin Klein’s S/S 2014 line, which happens to bear a striking resemblance to the cloud-drenched cover of his new album, Nothing Was the Same. (But before anyone starts crying “copycat,” Drake’s album artwork was originally inspired by a 2011 painting by Kadir Nelson, who designed the cover himself.) Still, we can’t help but notice how well the two match up.
Zucchelli’s line for Drake will include custom-made bomber jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, tanks and pants, and will be separated into three unique capsule collections: one based on the aforementioned cloud print (because obvi), one that will use high-tech fabrics, neon accents and reflective prints, and one that will feature high-fashion (aptly named) Canadian tuxedos. We imagine it will look pretty similar to the style Drake chose for the VMAs (just without the Wang).
This kind of collaboration is the way of the future, mark our words. And expect to see other artists following suit (heh).
