Jennifer Lawrence Is Decked Out In Dior For ‘Elle’ France

Um, you guys, do you know what comes out in less than a month (officially as of yesterday)? CATCHING FIRE! Elle France snagged Katniss Everdeen herself, a.k.a. Jennifer Lawrence, and a wind machine (we plebes know it as a fan) for their October cover. Unlike J.Law’s Vogue cover, where her shorter crop was on display, her hair here is Katniss-braid long, but it’s blonde and not the deep chocolate color Katniss is known for. Her makeup is also very Katniss-esque, read: barely there. Like, she has some light rose lip color, and that’s it. The lighting and focus on the cover is soft: Jennifer barely looks bothered by the wind that is tousling her hair a lot. Probz why she has that Oscar.

Fashion-wise, Jenn could be wearing a plain black t-shirt for all we know, though based on the inside spread, which, BTW, features Dior and only Dior, it seems pretty likely that something elaborate is going on out of frame.

Inside, Jennifer wears all Dior everything: she is the face of Miss Dior, after all. She probably breaks out Dior dresses to go to the supermarket, NBD. For this spread, she’s a little bit more glam than she’d be at the supermarket (unless she goes to Wegmans or IDK Eataly), with her hair in a chignon and not one, but two, houndstooth dresses. Ugh, she even has an Andy Warhol printed shoe clutch that isn’t available yet. *SIGH* I guess being the face of Dior does have its perks.

In another shot, Jennifer’s back is to the camera, but we still get a great view of the strapless, beaded dress she’s wearing. The angle also gives us a perfect view of her black Dior (duh) pumps, which have a heel that doesn’t extend from the top of the shoe down, but rather from her arch out. They look easy to walk in, JK they don’t, which is maybe why J.Law is sitting down.

The entire article is online here, though, one minor caveat: it’s in French.
