Miley Cyrus Dresses (Sort Of) Modestly For ‘Fashion’ Magazine

Another day, another Miley Cyrus magazine cover, AMIRITE? But wait—there’s something different about this one. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is, but it definitely stands out. *scratches head* Is it the lipstick? Nah, she sports that shade of red on the reg. *strokes imaginary beard* The hair? No, that’s pretty standard, too. OH. *light bulb* SHE’S CLOTHED! I mean, mostly. She’s at least wearing more than what we’re used to seeing her in these days (nothing), which, in Miley’s words, puts her in a class of her own. “What I wear adds a factor that other girls can’t compete with,” Miley told the mag. Go on brush ya shoulders off!

For the November issue of Canada’s Fashion magazine, Miley covered up in a black webbed KaufmanFranco dress over high-waisted briefs and a bandeau bra set by Dolce & Gabbana. Better wear those cut-out knit gowns while you still can, ladies! Cool weather is coming and visible goosebumps are SO not chic. All of Miley’s jewelry, from the bangles on her wrist to the multiple rings on her fingers, is Jennifer Fisher. Not satisfied with her more subdued style? Don’t worry. What she fails to reveal on the cover is more than made up for with words in the interview.

Wearing a doilee-print bodysuit and matching overlay by Zimmermann, Miley gives her lady-lumps a boost while simultaneously shooting daggers at us with her eyes. Then, she shoots verbal daggers at unnamed other people *GULP*, talks about her friendship with Pharrell (apparently, he’s who convinced her to wear that bedazzled D&G number to the VMAs) and tells us what we didn’t see during her now-infamous award show performance. (Spoiler alert: more butt-grabbing.)

It being a fashion magazine and all, Cyrus also had plenty to say about her next-level “White Trash and Chanel” steez. “I can go through so many clothes say ‘no, that’s not me’ right away. I’m so adamant and controlling and OCD about my work that I can scare some people—especially when it comes to clothes. I have a very specific style of my own and I think it is better to be stylish than trendy. I find vintage Celine or Chanel and mix it with athletic or vintage pieces makes a look modern and fresh. Vintage makes everything look punk.”

Peep more photos of Miley (clothing coverage TBD) and read her full interview with Fashion magazine when it hits stands October 7th.
