So long as A$AP Rocky keeps wearing clothes this well, people will keep using that “Fashion Killa” monicker. In a recent spread for Purple magazine (revealed on Tumblr via photographer Terry Richardson and his Terry’s Diary), Rocky proves the nickname is still appropriate (and probably always will be). Throughout the shoot, nothing but his clothes change: his hair stays the same, nobody touches his mug with moody facepaint, he gets no superfluous props—just a man, his braids, and a SLEW of outfits. First up, blue and black Alexander Wang flannel worn over an A.P.C. white tee.

Being that fall is breaking down our doors as we type, Purple and shoot stylist Heathermary Jackson take a beat to swaddle the Harlem boy in knits. On the left, Rocky serves a vintage Gianni Versace Jeans Medusa head crewneck with gray tapered Alexander Wang pants and Nike Air Jordan 4s. We like to think he’d take us to a casual brunch in this one. On the right, Rocky embraces his whimsical side in a sky blue Eddie Eddie by Billy Tommy bank robber sweater worn with cuffed Ksubi jorts. This is more of a quick-trip-to-Whole-Foods look to us.

Further into the shoot, Rocky braves a black denim Givenchy jumpsuit which for one moment ALMOST convinces us to pay closer attention to the dudes at our neighborhood auto shops. #maninuniform Alongside the head-to-toe Tisci ’fit, he practices his “Proud Mary” rollin’-on-the-river moves in Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane raw indigo denim jeans, a Stussy plaid shirt tied around his waist (v. ’90s), and a denim and cotton varsity jacket (also Eddie Eddie by Billy Tommy) with a chest appliqué reading “DORK” in all caps. This is obviously our favorite outfit/photo/moment of the shoot.

Finally, the feature ends with signature Rocky minimalism: a black-on-black-on-black Rag & Bone suiting moment on one side and a floating Dior Homme shirt sleeve with Rocky (and his own Versace ring) making a potentially lewd hand gesture on the other. Of note: even his hands and nails are well-groomed. *drops mic*
