Just when you start to get used to a look on Lady Gaga, she switches it up on you again. We've been pretty much chronicling the every quick-change of Gagaloo's strawberry blonde, BIG, wavy "Botticelli Babe" 'do from every clam shell bra to bedazzled Versace jumpsuit to motion-restrictive Comme des Garçons. Only to have it all turned on its head with the release of her October cover for Elle magazine. Along with the dramatic cover which only features half of Gaga's face enveloped in a louche frame of green and black satin and white and pink furs, we were given a peek at two inside pages of the cover spread—both soft, ethereal, and taken creepily through windows from far away. Now, thanks to a behind-the-scenes video Gaga tweeted, the stalker-esque shoot gets some context.

The video is directed by Ruth Hogben who also took the cover spread photos and has worked with Gaga on fashion films before. Titled "The Glass House," the shoot is meant to be voyeuristic and perhaps a commentary on fame (as Gaga is so want to do). On top of the patent vinyl unitard + bejeweled boots situation and the dress that is equal parts crisp, white collared shirt and blush marabou feathered skirt, we're given looks at an immaculate white fur coat piece (worn without bottoms), a polka-dotted number, and a metallic silver gown that, for some reason, she's wearing while sitting on the edge of the bathtub. Peep all the new looks for yourself (in motion!) below and check out the full spread and interview when the October issue of Elle magazine hits newsstands.
