We totally freaked out when we heard that Kristin Cavallari was designing her first ever clothing line for NYFW—especially when we realized it also involved the NFL. We were all, “Wait, MTV star + fashion + …sports? How can this be?” In collaboration with Junk Food clothing, our ex-Hills girl (and wife of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler) designed 32 fashion-y fan looks for each team on the NFL. (Whew, girl put in WORK.) Some of our favorite pieces included a super mod patchwork Denver Broncos-inspired frock, a throwback graphic Miami Dolphins sweatshirt, and a ’dorbs oversized Arizona Cardinals floral print shirtdress. All ensembles were paired with stilettos from Kristin Cavallari’s Chinese Laundry line (duh!), which totally completed the look.
We were lucky enough to catch up with K Cav after her big NYFW debut to talk about designing her first clothing collection, her feelings on fashion in the NFL, and, of course, her amazing show! Kristin said, “Football is a huge part of my life and fashion is a huge part of my life, so to be able to combine the two I thought would be a ton of fun, which it has been, and I think there’s a need out there for cute, fashionable women’s clothing for the NFL.” You can say that again! Honestly, by the end of the show, we couldn’t believe these awesome jerseys and crop tops didn’t already exist, and we totally commend K Cav for warming us up to the endless style opportunities the sports world can bring.
