As if a surprise runway walk from Rita Ora (accompanied by a seriously dope Spring 2014 collection that's both nostalgic and forward-thinking) wasn't enough, DKNY threw itself a GIGANTIC 25th birthday party last night in New York's Financial District punctuated by a high octane performance from the next face of the brand herself. The crowd itself was star-studded with a huge range of fashion fans, from Hailee Steinfeld to John Legend and his hilarious model boo Chrissy Teigen to Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis. But the stage ALSO boasted its fair share of famous faces as Iggy Azalea, Melanie Fiona, A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg all made surprise guest performance appearances.

Rita performed a string of her own hits from "R.I.P." to "How We Do (Party)" to "Hot Right Now," but it was her cover of Drake's "Hold On We're Going Home" that really stuck with us. That, and her head-to-toe DKNY logo 'fit fresh off the runway.

Rita then took a beat to introduce the first surprise guest: Iggy in emerald green DKNY with cut-outs for a little performance of her hit "Work." We probably would have been more than content with just that, but Ora took it to the next level, ushering up some ladies from the front row to dance with them AND some familiar faces from backstage. Yep, Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, and Emmy Rossum all slinked on stage for a public girl party, and it was awesome. Donna Karan herself hit the stage to accept an enormous taxi-shaped cake (pieces of which Karlie threw into the crowd, BTW) and be two-part serenaded by Rita and Melanie Fiona tag-team singing "Happy Birthday" plus adlib runs hitting notes we didn't even know existed. Just when we thought the party was over, A$AP Rocky (who was dripping with DKNY in his "Wild For The Night" music video) and A$AP Ferg stormed the stage for ANOTHER surprise performance of banger after banger after banger. All in all, not a terrible Monday night.
