Our Favorite ’90s Cartoons Take NYFW By Storm

OMG. Quinn would be SO JEALOUS. While Daria Morgendorffer spent the tail end of the ‘90s (and into the early aughts) griping to her BFF Jane about the woes of the world, it was her blissfully unaware younger sister Quinn who was forever waxing poetic (er, airhead-ic?) about clothes to her high school Fashion Club–but Daria, seen above in head-to-toe Prabal Gurung A/W 2013, was clearly paying attention. (She’ll never admit it.) Seriously though–how UH-MAY-ZING is MTV’s most famous outcast in militia-chic with a little blush on her cheeks? Cynicism never looked so good.

Uhhh huh huh heh heh huh. Of course, Beavis and Butt-Head’s original hard rock band tees rule pretty hard, but I think we can all agree that Jeremy Scott’s graphic-heavy, anarchistic threads were pretty much made for these dudes, AMIRITE?

Thanks to an imaginative collaboration between Swagger New York and Italian designer Michele Moricci, Daria and Beavis and Butt-Head are just a couple of our favorite ‘90s cartoon characters that got hooked up with some serious designer steez for New York Fashion Week this year–and we are lov-ing-it. Naturally, we’re a little partial to the MTV ‘toons, but, um, wait until you see Lisa Simpson in those Marc Jacobs high-waisted short-shorts. (We’ve got two words: NICE STEMS!) Check out Lisa and the rest of the awesome illustrations here.
