Ever wished you could add a little Capitol Couture to your closet? Perhaps a single-shouldered coral gown that flames as you spin-and-dip on the dance floor? Or maybe a mustard-colored structured frock with butterfly appliqués for a super special night on the town? Wouldn’t it be great if we could embrace our inner fan-girl and still manage to look ferociously fashionable? *SIGH* A girl can dream. And now, thanks to a first-of-its-kind exclusive fashion partnership between NET-A-PORTER and Lionsgate films, DREAMS WILL COME TRUE!

YUP. You read right, District darlings. Just in time for the November 22nd release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Trish Summerville, the film franchise’s fabulously imaginative costume designer (who, btw, is being honored tonight at the 10th Annual Style Awards as Costume Designer of the Year for her work in Catching Fire), will roll out a ready-to-wear clothing line on luxury retail website, NET-A-PORTER. Inspired by The Hunger Games and appropriately named Capitol Couture, the collection will feature 16 luxury pieces along with jewelry and leather goods—not exactly fit for a revolution, per se, but every item offered could at least put Effie Trinket to shame.

“When we were approached by Lionsgate to offer the collection by Trish Summerville to our customers exclusively, we jumped at the chance,” says Holli Rogers, Fashion Director at “Our customers take their style cues from myriad sources, from the latest runway shows and street trends to TV and film. Fashion plays an important role in ‘The Hunger Games’ series and is especially prevalent in ‘Catching Fire’, and fans of the franchise will see the film reference in the collection. This is also brilliant fashion in its own right, and we’re delighted to provide our customers with the chance to purchase limited-edition pieces designed by one of the most original costume designers in the industry today.”

With no exact debut date set quite yet (although a press release anticipates before the film’s premiere), we now have TWO reasons to neurotically wring our hands with excitement between now and the end of November—but in the meantime, you can find us flexing our bows, accepting wardrobe fund donations and cleaning out our closets to make way for Capitol Couture.
