Oh. My. Gah. Teen Wolf is officially over (for now!), and we can barely wrap our minds around what just happened. We will say this much, though—the Darach’s dress was out of control. I mean, a leather corset GOWN? On Teen Wolf? #dead Usually we stick to Scott, Allison, Stiles and Lydia’s on-point outfits, but this week we got an extra special insight into the finale ensemble. Teen Wolf costume designer Barbara Vazquez told us ALL about how this specialty outfit came to be and what the (month long!) process behind creating such an intricate piece of clothing involved. “[Creator] Jeff [Davis] came in and said he had this idea and he started sketching. We tweaked it a little bit and agreed on it, and finally, came up with the finished product.” Ooooh! But how was was it made?!

“It was 158 pieces of leather that we pieced together and painted. It was really a process to make, but it came out really well.” Barbara continued, “It’s like a corset, it was not an easy task. It took a couple months to make, actually. And for the skirt, I knew I wanted something flow but it had to be really specific. So we ended up getting medical gauze and dying it to the right color. I made her skirt out of gauze. I didn’t want her in chiffon—she wasn’t going to prom. It needed to be something that would hang the right way and look kind of old an decrepit.” Um, we think you totally nailed it Barbara! But tell us, what did you think of the Darach’s dress on tonight’s episode? Let us know in the comments below!
