Lollapalooza Makeup Looks Inspired By The Lineup: Ellie Goulding, Lianne La Havas, And Icona Pop

Hello, festival-going humans! This weekend is Lollapalooza—a fact of which I'm sure you're already aware. We're sure you've already secured your weekend wardrobe with Chi-town ready essentials (Pro tip: loose-cut dresses are a MUST for the deep dish pizza capital of the world), but have you thought about how you're going to do your makeup? Summer festivals (and traveling in general) are pretty unpredictable, but one thing that's, like, 99% proven fact is once you're there, no matter how badly you want to keep your long beachy waves flowing in the breeze, your hair is going to go UP. It's too sunny and there are too many people (sweaty ones) around for you to keep your strands sticking to your perspiration-glazed neck all day. That also means that your beauty game should be on point. Hence the makeup question. Don't get us wrong, your go-to look is probably already babe city and "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" etc. etc. But what better opportunity to experiment with your look than when you're being enveloped by an ocean of people you'll likely never see again? With that in mind, we're bringing you some beauty looks (and how to get them yourself) inspired by ladies plucked from the Lolla lineup itself: Ellie Goulding, Lianne La Havas, and Icona Pop.

Ellie Goulding

If you're watching Ellie Goulding hit the Lollapalooza stage this Saturday at 4:45 p.m., why not look to her for beauty ideas. Since you'll proooobably be sweating, we picked a look that was light on the face and focused more on lips and/or eyes (actually, all the Lolla looks that will follow adhere to this). Ellie's look here is all about the LASHES. Replicate her look by plumping up your eyelashes with Flamed Out Water Resistant Mascara in Very Black Blaze and a thick swipe of Lineblast 24 Hour Eyeliner in Enduring Black across your top lid along the lash line. Finish off the look with NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in Clay on your pout, and voilà! Instant Ellie-approved lash game.

Lianne La Havas

London-born Lianne La Havas will perform twice at Lollapalooza in back-to-back Saturday set at 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. She's also major inspiration for anything eyeliner-related. Girl is a beast with a liquid applicator. One of our favorite recurring looks of La Havas' is this very '60s steez. The best part? All your really need is a liquid eyeliner pen, some lip balm, and a steady hand! Use the liquid pen to line your upper lid, start with a thin line at the inner corner of your eye, fan out to a thicker line across the lid and taper off to a winged point using the curvature of your lower lid as a guide for the angle of the winged tip. Apply a delicate dot of liner just below your lower lash line, swipe on some Smoochies, and go!

Icona Pop

The silver-throated Swedish ladies of Icona Pop may keep their wardrobe predominantly monochromatic black and white, but every now and then, they work some color in by way of their makeup. Caroline keeps the focus on her lips with a bright bold pout and minimal... everything else. A light dusting of Eye Enhancers in Golden Sunrise, a squeeze of some trusty lash curlers, and an artful application of LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Haute Twist will get you Caroline's look. As for Aino's beauty game, you can cop that with the same lip crayon but in Coral Twist and smudgy black eyeliner along your top and bottom lash lines. Happy testing, and have fun at Lolla!
