Kanye West in his capsule collection for A.P.C.
After months of accelerated hype, this past weekend we were finally able to set eyes on Kanye West's capsule collection for A.P.C. As promised when the French fashion house officially confirmed the high profile collaboration last week, the collection hit A.P.C.'s international web stores yesterday morning. In line with the descriptions from Ye's W magazine interview, Yeezy and A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou created a concise range of one short-sleeved sweatshirt, one long-sleeved sweatshirt in blue and dark navy, one t-shirt in navy and white, and one pair of jeans in stonewash and indigo.
A.P.C. x Kanye
The garments in this A.P.C. Kanye collection are very simple, completely devoid of any outward-facing logos or prints—save the one Been Trill feature t-shirt which appears to now only be available in France. And in XXL. But in true Kanye "luxury rap" form, each piece has a hefty price tag. The elevated retail value, though, isn't just because of the names attached. A.P.C. is notorious for high quality IRL wear, and we're sure Touitou made no exceptions here with sweatshirts in compact fleece, t-shirts rendered tagless and in Egyptian cotton jersey, and the jeans constructed of 100% cotton Japanese denim. As Complex reports, the brand's US shopping site crashed within seconds after the collection's prompt 10 a.m. EST drop, BUT if you didn't get a chance to cop it then, there's still good news. It looks like the store is accepting pre-orders for the next A.P.C. x Kanye delivery. Fire up your credit cards!
