For the first time since early this year, Lady Gaga chose NYC's Gay Pride Rally this weekend as her first public appearance post-hip surgery. Gagaloo didn't just show up, though. She spoke out in celebration of the Supreme Court's decision to rule the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional AND to perform an inspired a cappella rendition of the National Anthem, swapping in lyrics like "Oh say does that star-spangled flag of pride yet wave," and "O'er the land of the free and a home for the gay." Naturally, she also looked fantastic doing it.

The long-time LGBT ally took to the stage in a stunning black Maison Martin Margiela jumpsuit with an exaggerated sweetheart neckline—a subtle style nod to "Love is love" perhaps?—and styled it with minimal accessories. There were no fancy baubles, bells or whistles for Gaga's Pride rally ensemble, just a pair of Lady Justice-inspired A-Morir shades custom-made and hand-cut by Kerin Rose out of polycarbonate, chunky platform Azzedine Alaïa booties (guess that hip surgery isn't inhibiting her heel height), and a chic platinum shoulder-length bob wig.
