Have we ever told you about the time Karlie Kloss saved our lives? Well, maybe we're being dramatic, but it sure felt like it. Picture a cold Fashion Week day, running from show to show, the bitter cold stealing what tiny morsels of energy we have left. It was rough, we didn't think we were going to make it, and there just wasn't ANY time to eat. In swooped House of Style host Karlie, with her filling but also delicious "Kookies," and we were able to make it all the way to the end of the night. After that, we got "Karlie Forever" tattooed on our biceps in a banner carried by little birds, enclosed in a heart. JKJK, but really we heart Karlie forever and always. We also heart Jourdan Dunn, and wait impatiently for every new episode of her hilariously adorable cooking show, Well Dunn With Jourdan Dunn, on Life + Times. In the latest episode, Karlie and Jourdan come together to cook not one but TWO amazing dishes: curry and, of course, a batch of Karlie's Kookies!
Karlie was kind enough to have a little chat with us about her experience cooking with Jourdan. Of the experience, she said, “I had so much fun catching up on girl chat and collaborating in the kitchen with my BFF miss Jourdan Dunn for her new show Well Dunn! Jourdan and I have traveled the world together and shared a ton of memories and experiences over the past 5 years of our friendship and careers. We’re both very passionate about cooking, but ironically we’ve never had the opportunity to cook together." Aw, besties! Karlie went on to say that the two "really complemented each other well in the kitchen, because I love baking (and sweets!), and Jourdan is a killer cook and prefers savory to my sweet. The best part was that we were able to catch up on some seriously needed girl time, all while creating a delicious dish!” That curry really did look delicious. And wait, there's something else! Karlie has another something veeeeeeeeery yummy cooking, but unfortunately, you can't eat it.
We can imagine that a girl as tall as Karlie might have a bit of a hard time finding jeans long enough for her acres-long legs, but being the resourceful GENIUS that she is, the supermodel is taking matters into her own hands. Yup, Karlie has joined forces with FRAME Denim to create the Forever Karlie jeans collection (now you get the tattoo joke, right??), featuring two EXTRA-long styles, in skinny and wide-legged cuts. She told Vogue, "I'm freakishly tall, so finding pants that fit is something I've struggled with my whole life...my secret to pulling off too-short jeans has always been to pair them with boots . . . and I really rocked the flood-pant trend for as long as I could!" Tall ladies of the world, rejoice! Between cooking and jeans, is there anything Karlie can't do? Spoiler alert: No, there isn't. Before we go, she also rocks a très adorbs apron on her episode of Well Dunn, and of course it's cookie (er, Kookie?) related. It says, "A well balanced diet is a cookie in each hand." Preach, Karlie!
