We thought it couldn’t get much better than Miley Cyrus’ killer ELLE UK cover, which dropped last week and shows the singer giving major face in a Lanvin blazer (and not much else). But you guys, it just did! A second cover circulated over the weekend, courtesy of her very own Twitter, and proves what we’ve always known— it’s impossible to have too much Miley in our lives. The pop star blasted the black and white image out online to her nearly 12 million followers on Friday with the caption, “@ELLEUK sometimes covers are hard to pick. Guess well just go with 2 covers! #2isbetterthan1.” That’s for sure. Featuring a nude Miley with her eyes closed, Saint Laurent necklace held to her lips, this achromatic portrait is a definite contrast to the in-your-face fierceness of the first. The photo might be minimalist, but nobody can deny it’s JUST as dramatic.
The side profile shot gives everyone a prominent view of Miley’s bleach-blonde, ski-jump swoopy ’do, which we love. Also, that “Rapunzel With A Mohawk” caption?! Well, let’s just say that any fairy tale princess would be seriously lucky to rock an infamous pixie with the same confident swagger as this girl.
Plus, there’s even more! A behind-the-scenes clip premiered this morning on ELLE UK, meaning we get to see the star in complete cover shoot glory. From working the camera in a leather bustier to smoldering in all-white, the video gives a in-depth look into the spread’s rock ’n roll-inspired glamour. According to Miley, Elle UK has a distinct style that’s not too far from her own. “It is different and it does show a different side of style which I think is really close to how I am. It gets to be a little more punk and a little more edgy,” she says. Whether it’s a sequined cut-out dress, an embellished jumpsuit, or a black leotard, stylist Alison Edmon remarks that they chose designers that “were good at portraying that very strong woman” and showcasing Miley’s fashion fearlessness at its best. We think they succeeded, don’t you? Watch the video here and let us know!
