As far as fashion rock stars are concerned, Hedi Slimane is the top of the heap, so it's only natural that he would enlist the help of some actual rock stars for his latest Saint Laurent Paris portrait series. We already shared the first glorious image, of Marilyn Manson, with you last week, and now we have not one but THREE more images from the campaign for you to feast your eyes upon. Slimane recruited Courtney Love, Kim Gordon, and Ariel Pink to style themselves in looks from past and present collections, and the results are austere, brooding portraits that function almost as a branded extension of Slimane's ongoing Rock Diary project. Initially we thought this was Slimane's latest SLP campaign, but further info courtesy of Dazed has revealed that like with all of his endeavors the boundary pushing designer-slash-photographer isn't doing anything the traditional way.

Courtney Love is featured in three of the photographs, because, of course she is. The legendary Hole frontwoman is pictured in a variety of looks calling upon both her own iconic style and that of rock royalty at large. A draped gown with a revealing keyhole neckline reveals her "Let it Bleed" tattoo, while a pinstripe pants, vest, and ruffled white shirt ensemble is very Pete Townsend. Perhaps our favorite of the shots of Love, though, reminds us of the cover for Hole's seminal 1994 album Live Through This, with Love crouched on the floor in a jeweled crown and fur coat.

Frankly, the whole project is setting our fan girl hearts aflutter, as you know most things do when our musical icons get mixed up in fashion. Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon poses for Hedi in Le Smoking, staying true to her signature mix of high fashion androgyny and soft, feminine styling. In her second shot, Gordon took it even further, pairing her mussed up hair with a flawless dark mani and a sheer, Swiss dot top with a sweetheart neckline. We're definitely going to be taking some outfit inspiration from the whole shoot, which also includes shots of experimental rock pioneer Ariel Pink.
