MTV Style Is In Austin! (And We Have The Food Truck Photos To Prove It)

Austin, through our eyes.

Listen, we know it’s not much, but we’re putting together a slideshow of all our adventures in Austin. It’s a digital scrapbook of sorts, but with, like, way less stickers and craft glue and a heavy-handed pour of Instagram filters. We’re here soaking up the sights, sounds, styles, and sabores of the Texas capital for the next few days surrounding this year’s SXSW music festival, and all the activity and color of Austin is such a welcome respite from New York’s March snowstorms (ADKFGJLD WHY???) that we’re brimming with love for this city. So much so that we can’t and won’t be stopped from sharing it with you, our beloved interweblings.

For the rest of the week, we’ll be surveying the heart of downtown Austin from the streets and the sun-drenched rooftops alike, listening to the dopest live music (shouts to our girl ZZ Ward who played on the MTV/VH1/CMT Present: Live In Austin stage Tuesday night), and straight-up, unabashedly GORGING on local cuisine. Between brunch at South Congress Cafe, the zillions of food trucks with quirky punny names (our fave so far is probably Coat and Thai—preeeetty exclusively because it reminds us of “Suit & Tie” but you know, not), and the barbecue brisket on every corner, we’ll probably need to be laid on our sides and rolled all the way to the airport when it’s finally time to leave. Until then, stick with us for updates on all of the coolest stuff happening in an around Austin!
