Rihanna’s oh-so-anticipated (and sold out!) Diamonds World Tour officially kicked off on Friday night in Buffalo, New York, which means there’s tons of fresh performance outfits for us to drool over. Yasss! When it comes to Ri’s on-stage ensembles, she doesn’t mess around—longtime stylist Mel Ottenberg helped create an almost entirely-custom wardrobe for her tour, which includes everything from metallic jumpsuits to holographic sneakers to floor-sweeping capes. We counted 7 outfit changes (dang!) from her Friday show—one of our favorites being a superhero-inspired red, white, yellow and black custom Adam Selman (who we talked to last week!) leather bustier and pants number paired with custom Manolo Blahnik white snakeskin boots. According to WWD, Rihanna’s all-black ensemble was custom Givenchy couture by Riccardo Tisci, which featured a black and white leather bra with golden buckles and stars, black silk and satin embroidered shorts, and a gold shark tooth necklace that says “RIRI.” Also, PLEASE peep those thigh-high gold-studded leather boots. #dead

Ri also sported a super ’70s, disco-inspired plunging metallic grey jumpsuit with silver Christian Louboutin pumps and also showed off (another!) custom designer ensemble—this time by Raf Simons. He created a sheer black dress with white Rihanna x Raf Simons font on the front and back of the piece, which Mel paired with Wolford shorts, an Eres bra and KILLER custom Louboutin white boots.

In another look, Ri shined in a holographic, dollar-print mini skater dress paired with matching holographic sneakers (WANT). Rihanna also sported a floor-length ruffled silk-crepe cape created by Riccardo, which he called “dark and romantic.” He told WWD, “Rihanna represents what young and amazing means today. She is punk and talented. She offers intelligence, energy and pure beauty. She is the face of her generation.” Finally, RiRi heated up the stage in a bold red thigh-high skirt and crop top, which gives is SERIOUS Rihanna for River Islandvibes (don’t you agree?). Her backup dancers weren’t short on stylish ensembles either—they all wore badass black and white Hood by Air outfits complete with backward snapback hats and circle sunglasses. #WERK We’re SUPER bummed that RiRi had to cancel her Sunday show in Boston due to laryngitis, but we’re guessing she’ll be back on-stage in her couture ensembles in no time. But tell us, which of Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour outfits do you like best? Let us know in the comments below!
