We're intimately aware of Mr Porter's knack for creating swoon-worthy, productivity-annihilating dude-fashion editorials, but this latest shoot with A$AP Rocky really takes the cake. The world already knows that Rocky is a pretty mother...y'know as are SO many of Mr Porter's other subjects (see Paul Wesley, Douglas Booth, and Matthew Gray Gubler for further proof), but the Harlem-native's shoot is a welcome change of pace for the men's style destination. Where most Mr Porter subjects skew kind of conservative — crewneck cable knits, classic chinos, nautical stripes — Rocky embraces trends, adopts them early, and wears them devastatingly well.

Rocky moves effortlessly in the shoppable spread from cobalt leopard print A.P.C. to metallic cerulean Burberry Prorsum with ease. Probably because styling himself in high fashion threads (with or without streetwear in the mix) is second nature to the dude. We learn from the accompanying feature that the fashion killa rolled up to the shoot wearing Jil Sander, Balenciaga and Junya Watanabe (also, OF COURSE he did). Along with giving us a chance to ogle Rocky killing it in Marc by Marc and Margiela and leather Givenchy shorts with matching black crew socks (a kind of AC/DC-reminiscent look he's been rocking lately that's reeeeeally doing it for us right now), we're coming away from this shoot and feature with historical Rakim Mayers fashion knowledge!

"At the age of eight I started getting into fashion, brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica and Ralph Lauren," Rocky told Mr Porter, "But in 2005 I started wearing John Richmond jeans. I was into Prada and Dolce & Gabbana at the time and that's why I started to wear tight jeans, because I wanted to be a model. I started to do freelance work for Calvin Klein so I was slim and it just stuck." In one quote we just learned what labels eight-year-old Rocky was repping, that his love of fashion started in '05 with John Richmond jeans, AND that he used to do FREELANCE MODELING FOR CALVIN KLEIN. *Googles furiously, is fruitless, weeps openly at desk*

Suddenly, it all makes sense. The extensive fashion knowledge. The high styling aptitude. The impenetrable smize. The ease on the runway. The rumored girlfriend. (Okay, Rocky's modeling past really has a grand total of ZERO percent bearing on that last point, but we just wanted an excuse to talk about it and formally state our approval of A$AP Chanel.) He's an industry insider (kind of)! *brain explodes into flurry of gold confetti but not before hitting the "Publish" button for this post*
