H&M might be considered fast fashion, but between recent collaborations with Versace, Margiela, and Marni, there’s absolutely no question the Swedish retail giant has its affordable-meets-designer game on lock. Now it’s the label’s turn to take to the runway with its very first show in NINE YEARS during Paris Fashion Week! Joining PFW veterans like Dior, YSL, and Chanel, H&M will parade 25 looks from its Fall 2013 collection down the catwalk on February 27. While the company’s no stranger to the concept—the Versace collection was presented as a fashion show back in 2011—we can’t wait to see how this quick shopping staple actually translates in the massive Musée Rodin venue next month.
After all, with former famous faces like Lana Del Rey and Imogene Poots on its roster (ahem, and Beyonce?!!), as well as offshoot lines like the higher-end & Other Stories, a larger-than-life runway show just might be the next natural step. Hey, it worked for Nasty Gal last season! Other details are scarce right now, but stay tuned, because we’ll keep you updated on H&M’s epic event until it actually happens. In the meantime, though, break out the pen and paper—your next shopping list is only a month away.
