Happy Inauguration Day, America! If you’re anything like us, you just watched President Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony unfold in the heart of Washington D.C. with dramatic and star-studded performances from James Taylor, Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce. And while that was all happening, you couldn’t help but stare at Sasha, Malia and Michelle Obama, admiring the impeccably dressed and color-coordinated Obama ladies and wondering where you might be able to cop such stately togs for yourself. Well, we have good news: we’ve started to identify the cool color palette coat ensembles worn by the fashionable first family!

The newly bang-sporting FLOTUS brought out the big high-fashion guns for President Obama’s second inauguration with a beautiful silk jaquard Thom Browne coat (cinched at the waist with an embellished J.Crew belt) and dress, both custom-made specifically for Michelle and according to Huffington Post based on a necktie fabric. She layered with a Reed Krakoff cardigan and added a Cathy Waterman necklace for a pop of sparkle. Michelle kept warm with a pair of leather gloves in nearly the same magenta of Malia’s J.Crew coat. BTW, it’s still available online (for now)! Malia, in turn, followed her mom’s color blocking winter accessories lead and wore a pair of leather gloves in a bright cobalt blue that tied in her sister Sasha’s soft periwinkle Kate Spade coat. The ladies finished off their coordination with One Direction-like precision by tying their looks together with similar A-line, ladylike silhouettes. Most notable, in our opinion, all of the ladies are wearing American designers. U-S-A!
