Give it up for Nylon magazine with the drop-dead cool girl Selena Gomez cover snap. Also, for the precise cover line. Judging from the Spring Breakers trailer that dropped this morning, “drops the princess act” is right! In the trailer and on this cover, Sel channels her inner bad girl. Nylon styles the girl who once was Alex Russo in a woven black flat brim hat, the light blue basket weave jersey from Jeremy Scott’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection for adidas Originals, and an itsy bitsy string bikini underneath, and WOWOWOW this is a look we could get used to.

Selena is, after all, an actress, so it’s no wonder she’s so capable of morphing herself from magazine to magazine. Whether she’s Glamour magazine’s bubbly “Woman of the Year,” fresh-faced and casual for Teen Vogue, or bodying the boss lady look for Forbes, Miss Gomez makes every outfit believable. We can’t wait to see the rest of her Nylon photo shoot as the magazine continues to roll it out, but we’re loving the warm-weather streetwear vibe. We hope it’s a style Sel sticks to in her personal life because, like many of our other favorite girls (Cara Delevingne, Rita Ora, Rihanna), we think she carries it well and balances it out with a hyper-glamorous red carpet rap sheet.
