Plenty of musicians are bitten with the multitasking bug, but very few have racked up quite as many slashes to their day jobs as Pharrell Williams. He’s a Grammy winner, a songwriter, producer, singer, entrepreneur, AND a fashion designer for Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream. And the crazy thing is, he’s only getting started. Last fall the Renaissance man released a book entitled Pharrell: Places and Spaces I’ve Been, which explores this loooong list of adventures in style, art, and music and gives us a slivery sneak peek into his BEYOND remarkable world. Featuring contributions by iconic tastemakers like Kanye West, artist Takashi Murakami, and yes, even Anna Wintour herself, this is one tome that won’t stay on your coffee table for long— it’s pretty much begging to be read, dog-eared, and re-read over and over again in hopes of even a teeny bit of his crazy-creative genius being transmitted through the pages. The mogul (and DIY-aficionado) stopped by MTV recently and was kind enough to let us pick his brain on everything Pharrell. But because we were only able to scratch the surface in our short interview time, P, guess that means you’ll have to come back really soon…?
