Listen, we know that New Year’s Eve was over 24 hours ago now, but we honestly couldn’t sleep soundly if we spent another minute of 2013 without rehashing all of our favorite celebrity celebration looks. Plus, you’ve probably exhausted your Facebook/Instagram news feed of NYE photos by now. From the punchy matching color palettes of Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Justin Bieber to the glittering ball drop staples of Mariah Carey, JWOWW, Snooki, and Nicki Minaj, the stars turned up the style to usher in 2013 and even repped some solid trends for the new year.
RED AND BLACK COLOR BLOCK

Performing wasn’t the only thing Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Justin Bieber had in common on New Year’s Eve. The three pop superstars also sported matching color block ensembles of black and red to usher in 2013. T.Swizzle hit the Times Square stage in a red zippered moto jacket by IRO with black leather skinnes and knee-high patent Jimmy Choo boots. Carly Rae reversed the color combo wearing a black crop top and fingerless gloves with bright red flanking the bottom of her ensemble via a voluminous floor-length, self-striped skirt by Sachin + Babi. Not to be out-done by the ladies, Justin Bieber’s TWO New Year’s Eve outfits (yes, he had two) both utilized the festive color palette: a black vest + tee + drop-crotch pants performance outfit accessorized with red velcro high-tops and red blazer ensemble off-stage.
Sparkles and sequins will probably always be a New Year’s Eve style staple, and Mariah Carey, JWOWW, Snooki, and Nicki Minaj didn’t disappoint this year with their glittering get-ups. Mariah went for a bit of an abbreviated flapper inspiration with a shimmering bodycon shift covered in tiny beaded fringe, while our Jersey Shore alumnae MTV Club NYE hosts went for heavy-handed sequin looks — Jenni in silver and cobalt mini with chic long sleeves and Nicole in an edgy bustier dress with a black train/half-skirt situation. Nicki assumed hostess duties in Las Vegas in a glamourous rose gold bandage dress that she was probably sewn into (holy, AMAZING fit!) and hugged and criss-crossed in all the right places.
BLAZERS AND BLACK LACE
A few of our favorite stars preferred stealthier looks of black lace and blazers. We love Ke$ha’s mix of silly and sultry with this 2013 accessory game, and Jay-Z’s performance jacket with the built-in puffer vest is currently at the top of our wishlist. The weekend’s most talked-about couple, the newly pregnant Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, also opted for this steez for their NYE celebrations, as did Roc Nation sweetheart Rita Ora.
WINTER WHITE FUR

Psy was arguably one of 2012’s biggest winners and rounded out his year with a New Year’s Eve Times Square performance of his smash hit “Gangnam Style”. The K-Pop sensation worked the stage in a crisp winter white suit, spectator oxfords, and a fluffy white fur stole. Meanwhile, Kreayshawn may have had a relatively quiet 2012 (save the release of Something About Kreay) but her statement fur might bode well for a louder new year.
