Google “Chloe Norgaard” and prepared to be bombarded with a technicolor rainbow wave of MAJOR HAIR ENVY. The model, DJ and music festival fixture has been working her My Little Pony locks like no other the past few months, showing them off for Terry Richardson, Dossier, and Harper’s Bazaar. Now the native New Yorker’s doing her thing for Uniqlo in the Japanese clothing giant’s new Spring 2013 campaign, bringing a burst of much-needed candy color into the winter blahs.
It might be freezing temps outside (not to mention, consistently dark by 4 pm), but you’d never know it judging from THIS ray of light. In the campaign Chloe and co. show off the brand’s printed trousers, flouncy dresses, and ditsy florals in a color wheel of Easter egg pastels. It’s only January, but is it wrong that we’re ready to jumpstart our spring shopping lists like, now?!
Needless to say, the collection is stocked with trendy warm-weather staples like lavender denim and quirky overalls. And while Uniqlo’s upping its fast-fad game in a whole new way (watch out, Topshop!), the newest selection of goods is also packed with classic pieces like denim jackets and prepster button-ups. Is shopping a cure for the winter SADs? Who knows, but thanks to this adorable spring lookbook and a recent foray into e-commerce (finally!), Uniqlo just might be this season’s secret weapon.
