Rita Ora has been switching up her style lately.

We’ve fallen pretty hard for Rita Ora’s almost aaaaalways sneaker-clad style (Exhibits A, B, and C). The sporty kicks are such an integral part of her personal steez that she’s even been named the newest face of Superga! We know, though, that styles evolve many times over, and it looks like our girl Rita might be on the verge of a new fashion chapter. Judging from a few of her most recent public appearances, Ora’s ditched the sneakers and streetwear (for the time being) in favor of some more markedly high fashion ensembles.
Rita’s outfit yesterday induced some whiplash-worthy double takes on the part of our staff with this black leather bodycon dress with an oversized wool coat. Rather than a pair of her go-to Jordans, she kicked on a sultry pair of high heeled over-the-knee boots. Her platinum blonde locks were flat-ironed, and she even took a break from the strong brow + red lip look in favor of pink lips and natural lids! At the 2012 MOBO Awards this weekend, Rita hit the red carpet and stage with a high-fashion one-two punch: an impossibly striking, CRISP white Mugler look, a more whimsical tulled and flowered McQ McQueen dress, and one pair of strappy gold DSquared sandals shared for both outfits. And at Bergdorf Goodman’s 111th anniversary earlier last month, Ora embraced Old Hollywood glamour in a slinky halter dress by Emilio Pucci and golden blonde finger waves. Her gown is too long to show what kind of shoes she’s working with, but we’re 85% sure they’re not high tops. What do you think of Rita Ora’s new sneakerless style?
