Anyone who is acting like it’s any big surprise that Lena Dunham gives great face in the latest edition of ASOS magazine is just plain silly, because we’ve known she was basically the coolest for a while now. The 26 year old renaissance woman (I mean, writer/director/actress kind of qualifies, right? Or maybe triple threat would be more appropriate?) has taken the world by storm this year with her HBO smash Girls, which we usually love but sometimes hate because it’s a liiiiittle too close to our own lives in New York (but we still love it, even then). But all that aside, Lena looks super cute running around the streets of Brooklyn in a-line skirts, adorable embellished collars, acid washed denim, and saddle shoes. It’s basically a fall trend feast, brought to you by ASOS. Before we max out our credit cards getting ourselves suited up to reenact the shoot (where can one get balloons shaped like dogs wearing bandanas?), we just wanted to squeal over this spread a little more. Check out more photos after the jump, and see what Lena has to say about her own fashion sense.

Lena is understandably self-deprecating in the article that accompanies the photos, saying that she “could put on the classiest thing in the world and…I would kind of look like someone who’s new to being a drag queen.” First of all, we totally know the feeling, and think every girl can at least kind of relate to feeling like a weirdo some of the time, but second and more importantly, we TOTALLY disagree. Take the photo above, in which Lena wears a richly printed dress with an embellished collar and a pair of ultra-adorbs saddle shoes, orangey-red lips and a super elegant bouffant. She looks timelessly beautiful, and the look is both effortless and polished. Also, we think drag queens look great a lot of the time so whatever.

We love how Lena looks at home in both the feminine, polished look we just mentioned and this more edgy, acid washed denim and studs look. We can totally see her stalking the streets of Brooklyn in this look, and we would 100% do a double take, no matter who was wearing it.

We think it’s fair to say that we can add style star after another slash in Lena’s pedigree, not like she needs it.
