Camouflage is trending right now in a big way, and who better than two of our MTV Style patron saints, Rihanna and Selena Gomez, to show us how to do it well. Truth, we've seen it for months from the army jackets of our favorite bloggers to Katy Perry's stage ensembles, but when two pop stars wear it boldly and in different iterations in the same 24-hour span, you know you're riding the absolute crest of the camo wave. Devil's advocates though we are, it's time to see which version you prefer: Rihanna's hypebeast printed pants or Selena's extra layer overshirt?

Wearing camouflage pants is a definite commitment (well, that actually goes for any kind of pants, really...), but it's not one we're surprised Rihanna has made. Rih's actually been wearing these BAPE puzzle camo 6-pocket pants on and off for the past TWO YEARS. This time, she's wearing them with an oversized olive jacket, a white Michael Agwunobi Trill tee, and fresh Timberland boots. The few accessories she wears are tough statement pieces: Super Lucia Ilaria gold sunglasses, gold hoops, a gold necklace, and Alexander Wang's heavy metal Rocco bag.

Selena, on the other hand, wields camo in a way that's a little less permanent. At this weekend's Global Citizen Festival, Justin Bieber's favorite lady and UNICEF ambassador attended and spoke and evidently wore camouflage. On top of her exemplary activism, fighting for the end of extreme poverty, Sel also schools us in a little lesson about punching up an almost sleepy outfit. Selena's foundation is a pair of black skinnies and a cerulean blue UNICEF tee, but it's the addition of this Zara camo overshirt (which you can get NOW for just $79.90!) that makes this look an outfit. Both iterations of camo are great in their own right, but who you do you think wore it better: Rihanna or Selena?
