Ok so, we’re pretty sure this is as close as we’re going to come to seeing Taylor Swift in one of those ubiquitous (for pop stars at least) nude bodysuits. Her performance look at the iHeartRadio festival this weekend was part beauty pageant tap dance costume and part, as we said, embellished nude bodysuit, and we have to say, we’re into it. She’s sticking with the cute, girl next door style that we saw in her VMAs performance, but definitely kicked it up a notch for her performance in Vegas. Paired with some super current silver loafers and a bowler hat cocked just so, Taylor looked every bit the performer, but still looked like herself. Not only is this outfit just the right balance of comfort and glitz, but it’s also SUPER wearable, so we set out on a mission to find versions of each item that could be worn everyday!
Starting from the top and working our way down, what really makes this outfit performance worthy, and not just a slightly elevated version of our every day casual look, is the jaunty little bowler hat Taylor has perched atop her cascading blonde locks. We found a super simple version from Christy’s Hats Norditch at Urban Outfitters for $42.00. While we couldn’t find a shirt or bodysuit that matched hers as we would have liked, this top from Allsaints Spitalfields has just the right mix of sparkle and simple ($270). Next, who doesn’t need (or already have) a pair of basic black tap shorts in their life? These Ohne Titel shorts are super basic, and on sale for $120. Aaaaaand finally, this look would be nothin’ if the sparkle didn’t continue all the way down to Tay’s toes. Steve Madden’s Studlyy loafers are super versatile, and they would not only look rad with this look, but also with everything from jeans to your favorite fall dress and tights!
So there you have it! What do you think of Taylor’s iHeartRadio look?
