Despite the scorching temperatures on the 2012 Emmy Awards red carpet, the dresses certainly looked fall-ready in their jewel-toned hues. Kat Dennings, Jena Malone, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus all sported an autumn-appropriate brownish-red oxblood color in three totally gorge ways. Kat wore a gathered strapless J. Mendel dress with a plunging sweetheart neckline and gathered chiffon overlay. She accessorized with a statement gold Neil Lane cuff and matching cocktail ring with Louboutins underneath. Kat vamped up her beauty look with shiny black nails, burgundy lips, light brown shadow, and tousled waves. Perf!

Jena ba-ROUGHT the drama in her strappy J. Mendel dress with a thigh-high slit up the front. The pleated, floor-sweeping gown exuded a soft, romantic vibe, but her modern metallic stilettos and jet-black blunt bangs gave her overall look some serious edge. She also sported a silver box clutch with matching nail polish and soft smokey eyes. Julia arrived in a Vera Wang gown fit SO perfectly to her body that we kind of need to give this entire situation a huge round of applause. *claps enthusiastically* Since her curve-hugging chiffon-overlay dress does most of the talking, she added only a touch of extra color with Irene Neuwirth black opal earrings and turquoise ring. She went for dark, short nails, but kept her makeup super light and simple with nude lips and thick lashes. But tell us—which oxblood look do you like best?
