New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 Superlatives

The shoes!  The bags! The ridiculous outfits!  We reveled in it all, but sadly New York Fashion Week has come to a close. Throughout the week we have seen the best and the worst of what fashion can be, from the the dresses that make us drool, to the front row outfits that make us say, “Wait, you wore that?!”  There’s no such thing as a Fashion Week Yearbook (in my opinion there should be each season) but I went ahead and put together my Fashion Week Superlatives anyway… you know, just in case.

ALL AROUND BEST LOOK: KELLY OSBOURNE

I love everything about this. Her bun is crazy and so are all the colors, but it works because of the simple silhouette of the dress.

FUNNIEST: ANDRE LEON TALLEY

Andre seems like a chill dude who doesn’t take life seriously, I like that.  Also, he’s like 8 feet tall and he wears floor length kimonos everywhere, so he’s like the Dumbledore of Vogue, which rules.

MOST CHANGED: MARC JACOBS

I literally could not believe my eyes when I saw this collection.  Where did it come from? Why don’t all his clothes look like this?  This is the best thing Marc has ever done, if not the best thing this Fashion Week.

NICEST HAIR: ASHLEY GREENE

Hair does not come nicer than Ashley Greene’s at the Donna Karan show.  This ’40s style ‘do is amazing. And so shiny!

LEAST LIKELY TO HAVE A NORMAL JOB: RICK GENEST

Rick Genest AKA Zombie Boy.

I don’t think this really needs an explanation.

MOST CREATIVE: RACHEL ANTONOFF

Rachel never disappoints with her Fashion Week presentations. They are by far the most conceptualized and intricate shows, making them among my favorites. This year’s setup, a whimsical garden party, was inspired by Charles and Ray Eames documentary about the relative scale of the Universe, called Powers of Ten.

BEST MAKEUP: MARC JACOBS

Marc, you win again!  The 60’s mod makeup in this show is incredible.

MOST LIKELY TO PLAY CHARLES MANSON IN A BIOPIC: THIS GUY

A model from Asher Levine show, he looks like the famous serial killer, but he’s also kind of attractive. Is that wrong to say?
