Falguni & Shane Peacock isn’t necessarily a household name (yet!), but if you’re a purveyor of these here MTV Style pages, you have DEFINITELY seen the eye-buggingly major designs of this husband-and-wife design duo. These two reeeeally know how to entertain with an article of clothing, which makes them a natural red carpet go-to for fashion risk-takers and pretty young thangs like Demi Lovato, Jessie J, and Kat Graham. The couple is notorious for attention-demanding ensembles and experimenting from season to season with different textures, prints, and embellishments, but the one thing that remains constant is the fact that these two know how to bring the DRAMA to New York Fashion Week.

This season, Falguni & Shane went extremely futuristic, opening their show with a light-up dress (!!!!), remixed audio of rocket engines warming up and control tower chatter, and three models clad in clear, plastic armadillo-style space helmets. From there, the show kicked off with a parade of interesting and thought-out looks – fishtail dresses with ombre beading crawling up the hem, printed bodysuits fit for an international pop star, and layered Plexiglas that stood up from clavicles and hips like high fashion versions of those paper accordion table decorations that are always such staples at elementary school birthday parties. All of it was set to a blaring dubstep soundtrack with deep wobbly bass that buzzed the floorboards and resonated in your chest. There were peplums and faux bib necklaces and even a little Glambert (Adam Lambert sat front row)! Could this forecast menswear for Falguni & Shane Peacock’s future? We’ll see!
