Actually sporty sportswear is having a major moment. And it's only fitting that the adidas x Yohji Yamamoto collaborative Y-3 is celebrating its 10th anniversary at the apex of the trend this New York Fashion Week. In honor of the benchmark year, Yohji went back to an adidas x Y-3 stand-by: the classic triple racing stripe. It's an iconic design element of the adidas streetwear brand that's most commonly seen on their tracksuits and shell-tops as popularized in the '80s by Run-D.M.C., but an anniversary is an opportunity to look back but also show growth, so Yohji takes the triple stripes and reimagines them for modern sportswear. The end result is fresh, athletic, and even a little collegiate.

On the flip-side, Yamamoto also put together a section of looks that channel something a bit more tropical. Breezy, lightweight sheer fabrics are printed with neon palm leaves and giant exotic flowers and paired with Y-3's consistently awesome footwear. The stripes make appearances in these looks, too, (see them on the side of the red shorts and blown up across the blue dress), but the colors and prints remind us that this is a spring/summer collection.
