Sleigh Bells' 'End Of The Line' Video: Look By Look

For about four minutes this morning we forgot it was Monday. That's because Sleigh Bells decided to drop the video for their new single "End Of The Line" upon the world, and we got to briefly stop what we were doing in favor of a mellowed-out dance party (highly recommended!). Now that that's over with, though, it's back to business- otherwise known as breaking down each and every one of Alexis Krauss and Derek Miller's ridiculously awesome outfits in the clip. After watching the video an embarassing number of times already, we've spotted a couple of cases of sartorial deja-vu (Sleigh Bells signatures like Ray Ban wayfayer sunglasses, studded jackets, and sick nail art). But leave it to Derek and Alexis to shake things up this time with gorgeous scenery, cinematic wide shots, and surprisingly moody vibe.

The vid opens like a full-blown movie (credits included) with close-ups of Alexis and a pan of Derek speeding on a BMX bike, guitar slung casually over one shoulder as he pedals around the block. He's working classic black and white adidas sneakers, a denim jacket with basic blue jeans, and a red plaid shirt. It's a total rockstar uniform if we ever saw one- accessorized with a totally tough expression, of course.

We're used to seeing Alexis in studs, rips, and lots of leather both onstage and off. But for much of this video we get a sneak peek at another side of the singer, decked out in a vintage wedding gown. The ultra-femme look is definitely a far cry from her dangerous turn in "Comeback Kid," but there's no denying she looks gorgeous in a sad movie-heroine-kind-of-way.

You didn't REALLY think Alexis would ditch her beloved studs and spikes for the entire video, did you? Yeah, right. About halfway through she swaps the gown for an embellished denim jacket, huge hoop earrings, loads of bracelets, and her trademark shades. Just in case you needed a reminder that this is a band NOT to be messed with.

When we think of Alexis's style, we normally think of DIY cut-offs, sports jerseys, and statement accessories. This is why we had to include another shot of the musician in a ruffly Victorian-inspired frock...it's just SO different. Does this mean we'll be seeing Alexis rock out in dresses onstage? Probably not (but that's okay).

Finally, the best for last! We scored a close-up peek of Alexis's rad nail art, courtesy of Ria Lopez. Ria's the mastermind behind the looks in "Comeback Kid" and more, so we were pumped to see what she'd created this time around. Needless to say, she totally KILLED it with neon tribal print, geometric patterns, zig zags, stripes, and SO much more. The result: mix-matched perfection.
