There’s still a couple more weeks of summer left, but let’s be real: it’s almost September, AKA the beginning of jacket weather, AKA stores are already stocking fall outerwear. And although the thought of boots, tights, and wintery weather is a little bit stressful, good news- this also means that the bomber jacket is baaaaack! So whether it’s high fashion (Alexander McQueen, Phillip Lim, Moschino), fast fashion (H&M, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21) or stolen-from-the-boys fashion (raiding the guy in your life’s closet), there are more than enough places to snag a warm-and cute- version of the topper for yourself. And, judging from the stylish bloggers here, there are ALSO about a zillion different ways to work ’em. Get some early fall style inspiration below!

Andy of Style Scrapbook
Andy has had an amazingly worldy upbringing- she was born in Mexico and currently resides in Amsterdam- so it should go without saying that her eclectic history totally translates in her outfits, as well. It’s pretty much impossible to choose a favorite post on her blog Style Scrapbook, but we’re currently in awe over her Versace for H&M jacket over a basic LBD. It’s an unexpected mashup of sporty meets femme, and we’re mentally adding it to our ever-growing fall wishlist (you probably should, too…).

Emma of Emma Torsteins Rud
Here’s the thing about the bomber- it can be the star of the outfit (see above), OR it can just be another fraction of an seriously stylish equation. In the case of Swedish student and blogger Emma, it’s most definitely the latter. The 18-year-old sports an H&M fishtail sweater over a secondhand shirt, paired with black shorts and platform sneakers. She tops it all off with a rad secondhand navy bomber jacket for a stolen-from-the-dudes look that’s super cute, too.

Shakira Andrea of Love With An Accent
Want proof that less really is more sometimes? Just check out California blogger Shakira. She manages to make the summer uniform- a bandage skirt and cropped tee- work for fall with simple additions like tights, black leather boots, and a black leather bomber. In other words, plenty of new style inspiration that doesn’t necessarily involve multiple trips to the mall (or damage to your bank account!).
