We don’t mean to freak you out, but school is kiiinddd of right around the corner. *ducks* But don’t be TOO sad—the fun part is creating all those killer back-to-school outfits! We immediately imagine tons of blazers, oxfords, and knee-high sock ensembles to get us through the transitional weather in style, although, we have one particular piece we’re REALLY looking forward to sporting this year—pleated shorts. I know, I knowwww, you’re totally imagining your mom’s gross, huge culotte shorts from the ’90s, but that’s definitely not the case. There are tons of super cool and chic ways to wear pleated shorts that we love, and we’ve even found some bloggers to prove it! We promise they’re cute. Scouts honor.

Analisa Nguyen of Rouge Fox
Blog: Twitter: @rouge_fox.
Analisa is a cool California girl that’s always sporting killer sunnies, long waves, and a bright pouty lip. We love her transitional back-to-school ensemble, which includes a white and navy colorblocked tank, pleated coral shorts, a brown belt, black and white oxfords, and a bowler hat. We love how she threw the cardigan over her shoulders to make her entire ensemble cool and comfy. Perfect!

Sablà Stays of Golden Sense
NYC-based blogger Sablà is constantly switching up her style. We’re always inspired by her mix-and-match looks, including this one she wore to NYFW last September. She sported a vintage-y graphic tee with American Apparel pleated shorts, a brown belt, maroon knee socks, and a KILLER tangerine blazer. She accessorized with cut-out gray wedges, a statement crossbody bag, a studded necklace and round sunglasses. Um, could we BE more jealous of someone’s ensemble? Nope!

Aileen Belmonte of Brewing Happiness
Aileen hails from the Philippines and totally nails the super-sweet-girl-next-door-meets-trendy-city-dweller look. Here she wears a vintage silk maroon tank top with Lulu’s burgundy pleated shorts, a vintage tweed jacket, and a black turban. She added tons of matching nude accessories including a clutch, bracelets, and strappy pumps, which we love. Also, OMG that HAIR. So good.
