You’d think Iggy Azalea—the queen of cool “It”-girl style—would be sporting the most killer nail art at ALL times, but when the rapper stopped by the Tomahawk Salon in Brooklyn to hang with MTV Style and get her nails did, we found out that *gasp* she’s only had nail art done once before in her life. “I’ve had nail art one time and it was actually the worst experience ever,” Iggy told us. “Since then I’ve been a lover of nail art from afar.” Well, we wanted to switch things up a bit, so we brought out one of the best nail artists in the biz, Ms. Fleury Rose, to help Iggy overcome her fears. Iggy obliged (*high five*) and told us she was filming a music video for her single “Murda Bizness” featuring T.I. the following day and wanted some tricked-out nails to go along with it. PERFECT.

We pulled out all the stops and brought an entire camera crew (NBD) to film this amazingness as it went down, and when Iggy and Fleury met, we knew it was a perfect match right from the start. Iggy immediately said she wanted nail art inspired by—get this—The Nanny. YEP, nails modeled after Fran Drescher, y’all! Iggy wanted something “gaudy, New Jersey, two-piece suit, ’90s style,” and Fleury was quick on her feet to sketch out some options right away. Iggy OK’ed the designs, and as they say, the rest was history! Check out how it all went down in the video below, and, um, do yourself a favor and peep Fleury’s nails too while you’re at it. UH. MAZING.
